This service was created exclusively for Flourish Curls clients who want answers to changes they are experiencing with their hair, scalp, hormones, or overall health.
Many clients notice hair thinning, shedding, or scalp changes during hormonal shifts, such as perimenopause and menopause, or during stress or metabolic changes.
Through this collaboration, you now have access to medical evaluations, root cause lab testing, and personalized care designed to support both hair health and overall wellness.

- Hormonal changes affecting hair health
- Fatigue or low energy
- Gut Health Symptoms
- Weight changes or metabolic concerns
- Perimenopause or menopause symptoms
- Stress-related hair loss

Hair health is often connected to hormones, nutrients, inflammation, stress, and gut health. This service is designed to explore those connections.

• Sudden hair shedding
• Scalp irritation, itching, or redness
• Flaking or buildup

Before your visit:
• Ask your stylist to take a clear photo of the affected area
• Make sure the photo is well-lit and focused
• Upload the image through your patient portal when scheduling your appointment
This helps provide a more accurate evaluation and allows us to better understand what is happening before your visit.

Root Cause Hair and Hormone
For clients who want to understand why hair changes are happening, lab panels can help identify potential contributors.

1
Foundational Hair Health Panel
Starting Point for Hair Thinning and Shedding
This panel is designed for clients who are beginning to notice changes in their hair and want to explore some of the most common internal factors that may contribute to hair thinning or excessive shedding.
It evaluates several foundational areas of health that can influence the hair growth cycle, including nutrient levels, metabolic balance, and hormonal signals that may impact hair density and overall scalp health.
This panel is often recommended for clients who:
• Have recently noticed increased hair shedding
• Are experiencing thinning around the hairline or crown
• Feel more fatigued than usual
• Have experienced stress, illness, or weight changes
• Want a starting point to understand their hair health
This tier provides a baseline understanding of internal health factors that may influence hair growth.
2
Root Cause Restoration Panel
Advanced Hair and Hormone Investigation
The Root Cause Restoration Panel is a more comprehensive evaluation designed for clients who want to explore deeper contributors to hair loss and hormonal shifts.
Hair changes are often influenced by a combination of factors, including hormone balance, inflammation, immune activity, stress responses, and metabolic health. This panel helps evaluate these interconnected systems to better understand what may be affecting the hair growth cycle.
This panel may be appropriate for clients who:
• Have ongoing or progressive hair thinning
• Are experiencing symptoms of perimenopause or menopause
• Notice hair loss along with fatigue, weight changes, or hormonal symptoms
• Have previously tried hair treatments without clear improvement
• Want a deeper understanding of internal health factors influencing hair
This tier is designed to identify underlying drivers rather than only addressing symptoms.
3
Inside Out Healing Panel
Hair Health Through Gut and Inflammation Support
The Inside Out Healing Panel explores how gut health and inflammation may influence hair growth, hormone balance, and nutrient absorption.
The digestive system plays an important role in the body's ability to absorb key nutrients, regulate inflammation, and support hormone balance.
When the gut microbiome is disrupted, it can contribute to symptoms such as fatigue, skin changes, inflammation, and hair shedding.
This panel is often recommended for clients who:
• Experience ongoing digestive symptoms
• Have unexplained inflammation or fatigue
• Have persistent hair thinning despite other treatments
• Suspect food sensitivities may be affecting their health
• Want a deeper exploration of whole body contributors to hair loss
This tier helps evaluate how internal healing may support healthier hair growth from within.
Flourish Curl's Provider
Ashley Whitlatch, DNP, MBA, FNP-C
With over 17 years of experience in healthcare, Ashley Whitlatch is a doctorally prepared board-certified nurse practitioner dedicated to helping patients understand the why behind their symptoms.
Her approach to care is deeply personal.
Years ago, Ashley sat in Sess’s chair as a client, navigating her own hair concerns. Ashley frequently suffered from swollen hair follicles, dry scalp, inflammation, and excessive hair thinning. She recognized that what was happening on the outside often reflected something deeper on the inside.
Ashley's personal experience with hair and health led her to take a more in-depth look at her own health and ultimately shaped the way she now cares for her patients.
Today, her care focuses on identifying root causes by looking at the full picture, including hormones, nutrition, stress, gut health, and metabolic function. Her goal is to help clients align their inner feelings with what they see on the outside.

Why Flourish Created this Resource for Clients
Flourish Curls believes in supporting hair health from both the outside and inside.
While your stylist focuses on hair care and styling, this collaboration allows clients to explore medical and hormonal contributors to hair changes when needed.
This ensures you receive support from both beauty professionals and healthcare guidance.
